The black incipio dermashot is a great silicone cover for the kindle 3. I have had the cover for 2 weeks now. The cover is a “high density” silicone. I believe it will offer superior protection compaired to the less expensive silicone covers. The front is average thickness that you would expect but there is tapering around the screen and keypad. It may just be for asthetics but i find it frames the screen nicely. The page turn buttons are protected and fully covered but are not hard to find or use. The back is double thick. There are convex humps running up the sides of the back verticaly that make the kindle easier and more comfortable to hold as well as adding quadruple thick protection. The weight of the cover is unnoticable thanks to honeycomb cutouts on the inside of the back of the cover were it is extra thick. The volume controls are covered but still work flawlessly. All of the cutouts are perfect and allow the device to be full functional. Even the side power ports have cutouts. The finish and quality are second to none. The only gripes I have with this case are that it picks up dirt, dust, and hair very easily and that the thickness probably will not allow the use of a the side clip mount covers. I have a belkin sleeve though and it fits inside with the silicone cover on. I personaly love this case and it is the best in my opinion. I give it 4.75 stars.

I love this, it is sturdy and easy to hold on too. It makes my kindle a little more substantial.
